Converting Production Supervisor

Description of Duties
-
Supervise the Lamination, Pouch, and Slitting production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

Optimize safety (food packaging and workplace), quality, yield, and productivity
-
Train and coach shift associates.
-
Conduct associate performance reviews.
-
Responsible for shift schedule to include; workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
-
Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
-
Schedule and conduct shift meetings.
-
Responsible to meet shift production goals.
-
Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications.

Reject product outside of specifications.
-
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
-
Communicate with other Shift Supervisors, Converting Operations Manager and Vice-President of Manufacturing and Technical.

Ensure a clean and safe work area.
-
Complete shift paperwork.
-
Assist in production as necessary.
-
Manipulate WIP and raw material rolls in excess of 1000 lbs. using material handling equipment.
-
Lift up to 50 lbs.
-
Other duties as assigned.

Be available to cover absences within the department as requested by management.
